Hapkido classes can be an important part of your child’s life, offering a comfortable environment for physical improvement, mental and social development and the opportunity to learn self defense.

Hapkido training can introduce a healthy, active lifestyle to your child.  Cardiovascular health (heart strength and the body’s ability to deliver oxygen to all of its cells) can be improved with endurance training in martial arts.  Bone and muscle strength will also improve with regular training.  Agility, balance, flexibility, reflexes, co-ordination and speed are also fundamental components of a good martial arts program.  Keeping children active may help prevent many health problems in the future including maintaining a healthy body weight.

HAPKIDO TRAINING FOR CHILDREN

Hapkido training also benefit children in mental and social development. Kids are encouraged to build their confidence, self-esteem and a positive self-image.  Individual communication skills, attention span and ability to follow direction can also be improved with ongoing practice.  Working within a class of peers also gives your child the opportunity to learn about sportsmanship, respect, responsibility and honesty.

As a Martial Arts Instructor, there is a very rewarding feeling when you see the shy child at the start of the year, who stands in the back row and is afraid to answer a question grow into a confident child who is leading the whole class through a warm-up exercise or is stepping in front of a crowd for their first demonstration.

Let your child enjoy all the benefits of martial arts training and see them make new friends and have fun!
