FITNESS AND FUN
A great way to enjoy the outdoors is with your four legged companions. Taking your dog for regular walks can be beneficial for you both. Here is how:
Remember to prepare for your dog walks. Ensure you have proper footwear, clothing and sun protection. You will also need a good leash and collar, poop scoop bags (it’s important to clean up after your pet), and water for both you and your dog. Walk with friends for safety or at least let someone know where you are going. If you take your dog into the bush, take bear spray...we are in bear country. The most important thing is to have fun. It’s a great family event or a quiet outing for you and your best friend. There is nothing better than rattling the leash and seeing your dog do the dance of joy because he knows you are taking him for a walk. |
