Taking the plunge this summer will be a great way to improve and complement your martial arts training. THE FITNESS BENEFITS OF SWIMMING
Now that summer is just around the corner, you may be thinking about a dip in a lake to cool off...or maybe a few dives off the diving tower followed by some laps in your local swimming pool. Swimming is refreshing and fun; it can be a social event or a solitary getaway for a few hours. Apart from the mental health benefits, swimming is an excellent form of exercise. Here are just a few of the reasons why you should take the plunge!
If swimming laps doesn’t appeal to you, try an aqua-exercise class instead: there are many classes to choose from depending on preference and ability...check out your local pools. Always consult a physician before beginning an exercise program. Discontinue an exercise if you feel any pain or discomfort. |
